The time has come for everybody to pay some serious attention to Tropical Storm Fay as it makes its way through Cuba and towards the keys. It has already gained strength from yesterday when wind speeds were at 40 mph. It should begin to gain strength once it passes the high mountains of Cuba and begins crossing open water. MIAMI, Florida (CNN) — Tropical Storm Fay was expected to strengthen as it approached Cuba, the National Hurricane Center said Saturday.
As of 5 a.m. ET Sunday, the center of Fay was about 125 miles south-southeast of Camaguey, Cuba, and about 445 miles southeast of Key West, Florida.
